The IMAX Entertainment Complex is best known for its big Hollywood movies and its IMAX screen adventures, but it’s also the home of the Little Opry Theater. This intimate venue is just the place for you to get up close and personal with some of Branson’s finest singers, actors, and musicians.

With George Strait: A Tribute, he leads a cast of top Branson entertainers to bring you some of the most familiar songs to ever top the country charts. The music of country music superstar George Strait is front and center with songs like “Amarillo by Morning,” “Ocean Front Property,” and many more. In addition to these hits, you’ll also hear some of the best bluegrass and gospel music around. In A Tribute to John Denver, Garrett switches gears delivering an intimate performance of a variety of John Denver’s greatest songs. This show not only features Denver’s greatest hits, it also pays tribute to some of his lesser-known songs and B-sides. You’ll also hear some heartfelt, personal stories about the times James Garrett worked with this country music legend. Lovers of bluegrass music will delight in Petersen Family Bluegrass. This award-winning family band has played at venues all over the United States and Canada and will be touring Ireland this summer. You’ll hear a wide variety of bluegrass music classics by originally performed by artists like Bill Monroe and Rhonda Vincent to newer songs by Balsam Range and Allison Krauss. The band also plays their own original songs, features several twin fiddle tunes, and even shows off their impressive vocal skills with gospel, acapella, and yodeling numbers. The Petersens are considered some of the best musicians in Branson and, after watching their show, you’ll see why.

In its short time on the Little Opry stage, Sons of Britches has become an instant hit. This energetic, hilarious show features Earl Vaughan on guitar, Kevin Stafford on bass, and Louis Darby on fiddle. Between them, the Sons of Britches have over 100 years of performing experience! What sets Sons of Britches apart from other shows is that no two performances are alike-the show is all live and the guys take requests from the audience. Between the expert musicianship and the side-splitting comedy, you’re sure to have a blast at Sons of Britches.

Smoke on the Mountain is a gospel musical comedy unlike anything else you’ll see in Branson. This live stage musical is set in North Carolina in 1938 and features the talented Sanders family as they perform at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church’s Saturday night gospel sing. The audience plays the part of the church congregation and will surely recognize some of the over 30 classic gospel songs performed in the show. The Sanders family’s antics are sure to tickle your funny bone, and their inspirational music will put a song in your heart for the rest of your vacation.

If you loved Smoke on the Mountain, then you are sure to enjoy Sanders Family Christmas beginning November 1 at the Little Opry Theater. You’ll rejoin the Sanders family on Christmas Eve, 1941, just after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The Sanders clan is about to send their only son off to fight in the war but, before he goes, the family decides to put on a Christmas sing-a-long to raise everyone’s spirits. You’ll join the family in singing some of the Christmas carols and inspirational holiday songs that are sure to get you in the Christmas spirit.

Vocalist and master guitar player Leroy New headlines A Tribute to Marty Robbins. New brings songs like “El Paso,” “Devil Woman,” “Don’t Worry,” and “Faleena” to life with his masterful guitar playing and nuanced singing. The show also features songs by other famous country-western and swing artists such as Johnny Cash, Maybelle Carter, Merle Travis, and Bob Wills. New pays special tribute to Chet Akins and Hank Williams. The Little Opry Theater is the perfect venue for this intimate and heartfelt show allowing Leroy New’s incredible musicianship and expert knowledge of country and western music to take center stage.
